Steve has spent the past 20 years practicing internal medicine in the primary care setting as a Family Nurse Practitioner. After completing his Master of Science in Nursing from California State University, Los Angeles he then graduated from the California State University, Long Beach Family Nurse Practitioner Program in 1996. Steve decided to practice in primary care to build relationships with his patients over time believing education is key to empower patients to take charge of their own health. Steve has particular experience and intertest in diabetes education, diagnosis and treatment. When Steve is not at work, he loves to stay active outdoors cycling and enjoys playing ice hockey.
