Diplomate, American Board of Internal Medicine
Dr. Nadia Elihu, M.D.
Dr. Elihu has been practicing as an internal medicine specialist in Orange County for over 15 years. She began her medical education at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. After completing medical school, she continued her training at New York University Hospital finishing her first year as an Internal Medicine resident. Then making the move to California, Dr. Elihu completed her residency training at West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Hospital in 2001.
According to Dr. Nadia Elihu, the challenge of a career in internal medicine is that it simultaneously straddles both intellectual and emotional dimensions and demands the flexibility and insight to judge when to draw on one or the other. This involves being able to integrate at once, both the academic aspects (the analytical and scientific), with the human aspects (the caring, giving and understanding).
